Construction Estimator

The Estimator will work closely with the estimating and preconstruction management team to prepare bids, perform quantity takeoffs, and review project documents. This role is responsible for analyzing blueprints, identifying required materials and labor, and assembling accurate and detailed estimates for various contract types. The position is well‑suited for an early‑career professional who wants to grow into a Lead Estimator role within a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesReview blueprints, specifications, and project documents to perform detailed quantity takeoffs.Prepare accurate estimates for materials, labor, and production rates using On‑Screen Takeoff and other tools.Assemble bids and proposals for multiple contract types, including Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus.Communicate with clients to clarify scope and support preconstruction efforts.Verify quantities and scope against bid documents to ensure readiness for scheduling.Support multiple concurrent bids and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff from estimating to operations.Required Qualifications1–2 years of experience as an Estimator, Project Engineer, or similar construction role (internships and co‑ops accepted).Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience with On‑Screen Takeoff or similar takeoff software.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Interest in working in an office‑based estimating role.References that can speak to problem‑solving ability and performance in fast‑paced environments.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.Experience in commercial painting, specialty coatings, or flooring (not required but highly beneficial).Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.Familiarity with Sage 300, PlanGrid, or similar construction software.Tools and Software UsedOn‑Screen TakeoffSage 300Excel‑based estimating toolsPlanGrid (for plan review)When I Work (payroll)Employee Value Proposition

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tucker, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $33.65/hr.
