Construction Engineer
Job Title: Construction EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Engineer to perform tasks related to Construction Engineering for municipal infrastructure projects. This role involves assisting with construction layout and resident engineering duties, serving as a liaison between municipal representatives and other governmental agencies, and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with construction layout and resident engineering duties.Serve as a liaison between municipal representatives and governmental agencies.Monitor and document construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders throughout the construction process.Provide support for project scheduling, cost tracking, and quality assurance.Participate in pre-project planning and preparation of construction plans and specifications.Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for project progress and compliance.Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements on-site.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in Municipal Civil Engineering.High School Diploma required.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.Strong communication skills.Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Confidence and capability to implement field changes as necessary.Valid driver’s license.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution (preferred).IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Certification.Experience with Transportation & Infrastructure projects.Work Environment

The office is located in Willowbrook with approximately 20 individuals. The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role involves fieldwork from March to November and office work during other months. The work is within a 25-minute radius of the office. The office culture is described as having a family feel, and the team is composed of five professional engineers serving 15-20 municipalities. This is a Permanent position based out of Willowbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
