Job Description
The Quality Control Technician ensures that precast concrete products meet established standards for quality and compliance. This role supports production by performing inspections, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with teams to uphold safety and quality protocols.
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-pour inspections of forms, reinforcement, steel, and inserts.Perform post-production inspections of finished precast products.Ensure all products are correctly marked and labeled.Maintain daily and project-specific production records.Complete and file daily quality control documentation.Communicate observations and improvement opportunities to the QC Manager and production team.Essential Skills
1+ years of experience in Concrete QA.Concrete testing, soil testing, quality assurance, and asphalt testing.ACI certification is preferred.Quality control and construction expertise.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.ACI or PCI Certification preferred.1–2 years of concrete-specific quality control experience.Ability to read blueprints, piece tickets, and use a tape measure.Strong communication and computer skills.Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based in a precast concrete plant and yard, which includes both indoor and outdoor workspaces. The environment is fast-paced and production-driven, with heavy machinery, large concrete forms, and active material handling. Expect exposure to dust, concrete residue, and airborne particles, along with loud noise levels from mixers, cranes, and other equipment. Work involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Safety protocols must be strictly adhered to, with regular use of PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and high-visibility vests. Regular safety training and compliance with OSHA standards are mandatory. Work involves frequent interaction with production crews, supervisors, and engineers, making clear communication essential to ensure quality standards are met. Typically full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime during peak production periods.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
