This role involves working with a skilled team on projects such as industrial warehousing, manufacturing facilities, and retail commercial projects. You will use Trimble equipment for construction staking of concrete pads and foundations. This position offers opportunities for career advancement, including the potential to transition to a Survey Crew Chief or a Site Layout Manager. Responsibilities + Interpret civil engineering plans, architectural drawings, and construction documents to determine required staking points. + Mark precise horizontal and vertical locations of proposed structures, utilities, foundations, and grades using total stations, GPS, and other survey instruments. + Lay out construction boundaries, building corners, gridlines, curb lines, utilities, and concrete formwork locations according to design specifications. + Verify site dimensions and ensure all staked points match the approved plans before construction begins. + Set stakes, hubs, lath, and flagging with correct offsets, elevations, and labeling for contractors. + Produce staking sheets, cut sheets, and field notes documenting all layout points, offsets, and elevations for contractors. + Prepare material lists, estimates, and mapping information when required for project planning or work orders. + Maintain accurate records of all staked locations and any field adjustments made during layout. Essential Skills + 1-2 years of experience in concrete layout or commercial construction staking. + Ability to calibrate a survey rod in the field. + Experience with Trimble or TopCon equipment. + Reliability in the field, with skills in total station operation, blueprint reading, blueprint interpretation, and topography. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Westfield, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
