**Job Title: General Laborer** **Job Description** Join our team to work on a variety of projects, from small bridges to large interstate projects. You'll be working locally near DSM and the Huxley exit bridge. All work is performed on inactive roads, ensuring a safe environment. We offer training to those who demonstrate ambition and motivation to learn. **Responsibilities** + Clean up job sites and transport concrete using wheelbarrows. + Assist foreman and supervisor with various tasks needed for the job. + Perform general duties involved in the construction of bridges or heavy highway projects. + Align forms and check them for proper construction. + Use saws to cut expansion joints and perform crack sealing. + Set forms to desired pitch and depth, and level and smooth concrete using tools like rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float. + Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointer, and straight edge. + Monitor weather elements for their effects on concrete curing. + Operate power vibrator to compact concrete. + Apply surface treatments and tie off rebar. + Conduct various prep and clean-up work as needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience in construction, concrete, carpentry, and demolition. + Ability to work with concrete forms and execute concrete construction tasks. + Proficiency as a concrete laborer and finisher. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with commercial foundation installation and repair. + Specialization in bridge construction and road repairs. + Ability to perform strenuous labor. **Why Work Here** We provide on-the-job training to help you advance your skills and career.
