Job Title: Concrete Foreman

Job Description

The Concrete Wall Foreman oversees daily operations related to concrete wall construction, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate crews, equipment, and materials on active job sites.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct concrete wall crews on commercial and industrial construction projects.Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure productivity goals are met.Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to guide layout and construction.Oversee and perform wall forming, pouring, vibrating, finishing, and curing of concrete walls.Ensure proper installation of rebar, embeds, anchor bolts, and related components.Monitor quality control throughout all phases of wall construction.Enforce safety policies and OSHA standards at all times.Conduct daily safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments.Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and PPE.Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain schedule and workflow.Communicate progress, challenges, and resource needs clearly and proactively.Maintain accurate daily logs, timecards, and material tracking.

Essential Skills

5+ years of concrete construction experience, with at least 2 years in a concrete foreman role.Proficient knowledge of concrete wall forming systems (e.g., Symons, Peri, EFCO, Doka).Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.Proven ability to lead crews and manage jobsite operations.Solid understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA requirements.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.Valid driver’s license; ability to travel out of state for projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with commercial and industrial construction.Strong communication skills for coordination with project stakeholders.

Work Environment

This role involves outdoor work in all weather conditions. The company is a large general contractor with a dynamic team size that depends on the project. Currently, the concrete crew is relatively small, consisting of about 10 employees divided into flat work and wall crews for local and travel work. Work hours can range from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm depending on project requirements, with a travel schedule of 10 days on and 2-3 days home. The role requires the use of safety gear such as leather boots above the ankle, safety glasses, hard hats, and high-visibility clothing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
