**Job Title: Concrete Finisher** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team, specializing in commercial, industrial, and large concrete form construction. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience and will be able to operate independently from day one. This role involves setting up formwork, pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete surfaces to ensure they are both durable and aesthetically pleasing. Candidates must be willing to assist with labor work on-site and travel within the Eastern part of New York. **Prevailing Wages!!** **Responsibilities** + Set up and align formwork to ensure proper depth, pitch, and dimensions. + Mix, pour, and spread concrete in specified proportions. + Smooth and fine-grade concrete surfaces using hand and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds. + Apply sealants, hardeners, and decorative finishes to concrete surfaces. + Cut expansion joints and patch imperfections. + Adjust techniques based on environmental conditions affecting curing. + Clean and maintain tools and equipment. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques such as troweling, edging, and stamping. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. + Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction. + Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + OSHA 10 certification is required. + Experience with flatwork, formwork, masonry, carpentry, brick laying, restoration, and stonemasonry is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a stable work environment with a large pipeline of upcoming projects. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm or later. Overtime ranges from 2 to 20 hours per week, depending on project schedules. Crew sizes range from 1-2 up to 10, and you will report to a foreman or project superintendent. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Cohoes, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
