The Concierge Floater will be a dedicated resource for Allstate's two downtown Chicago locations: Merchandise Mart and River Point.\n

 \n

Responsibilities:\n\nMeeting and event support, including room, technology and catering setup\nMonitoring meeting room usage and helping to optimize space utilization\nProviding basic technology support, helping with Internet and other connectivity (including Targus port replicator), connecting to meeting\/Zoom rooms, and acting as a liaison to IT helpdesk and other experts for more complex IT and hardware issues \nActing as a point of contact and liaison for facilities maintenance issues and requests\nGather feedback from office users on what is working well and what could be improved\nMaintaining and troubleshooting space utilization monitors and digital signage\nHelping visitors locate meeting rooms\nManaging inventory and stocking of kitchen and office supplies\nSharing recommendations for local restaurants and amenities\nSupporting and promoting events for employees to socialize\nThe employee experience staff will be expected to perform other office management and related functions if workload permits.\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nHS Diploma or equivalency required; higher education preferred.\nMinimum 1-2 years experience of related corporate facilities experience.\nProficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams.\nAdvanced knowledge of company operations, projects, performance, and objectives.\nMUST possess exceptional customer service and people skills;\nMust be adaptable to a dynamic environment with the ability to learn new skills quickly. \nStrong ability to problem solve; finds new solutions to new or complex problems.\nExcellent written, oral, and verbal customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels.\nStrong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision; ability to manage time effectively.\nAble to remain diplomatic in stressful situations; team oriented and has the capacity to build strong working relationships both within the team and with external stakeholders\/customers.\nPunctual, dependable, and dedicated to achieving operational excellence.\nMaintain a consistently professional approach, with a willingness to take ownership and responsibility.\nAble to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and\/or sit for extended periods of time.\nAble to lift or move 40lbs or greater at times.\n\n
