Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems offers an excellent opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst – Regional COSA (25-372) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This position, located at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a key role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Relocation assistance is not provided for this position, as it requires on-site work with no remote options available.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a vital component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.

The selected candidate will join a team reporting to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO), who is responsible for daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the C2BMC systems within a 24/7 operations and testing environment.

Essential Functions:

Provide first-level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC hardware, software, and networksThe candidate will document and report all events/issues to the CWO and receive tasks and directions from the CCC for all operations, tests, and real-world eventsThe candidate will also assist with all hardware and software installations as directed by the local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSOThis position will focus on lab and test activitiesSound background and experience in troubleshooting hardware and software componentsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointPerform other duties and assignments as required

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 0 relevant work experience; or related work experience with 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start, and the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and eligibility for SCI clearanceDoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA Security, etc.) is required to startThe position requires rotating 24/7 shift work. The candidate will be assigned to a specific shift and either an Ops or Training role, based on mission needs. Some substitutions during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will also be necessarySolid background and experience in operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems and networking environmentsStrong background and expertise in system and/or network administration, including (UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper)

Preferred Qualifications:

A current and active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance with eligibility to be cleared at SCI clearanceExperience and knowledge of C2BMC System or Missile Defense Systems

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
