Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Component Engineering

Maintain BOM vitality: lifecycle (LTB/EOL), obsolescence watch, and risk scoring with clear mitigation plans.

Validate parametric equivalence; review Worst-Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA), Signal Integrity/Power Integrity (SI/PI), and Component Derating , where needed to de‑risk design changes.

Cost Optimization & Circuit Redesign

Execute VA/VE, should‑cost, and FFF alternates; convert ideas to booked VCP/PPV.

Partner on circuit/PWA redesign (DFM/DFT/DFR) to lower cost, reduce variants, and improve yield.

Alternate Component Qualification

Source/shortlist alternates; define qual plans (AQL, environmental, reliability) and acceptance criteria.

Manage PCNs/PDNs, and release through change control with complete evidence packs.

Technical Evaluation & Compliance

Ensure compliance to RoHS/REACH and product safety/EMI‑EMC requirements with traceable documentation.

Own technical reviews, test summaries, and sign‑offs for audit readiness.

Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement

Align Engineering, SBUs, and Category leaders; unblock decisions and manage escalations.

Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement

Standardize SOPs, templates, and governance in Vitality/SPB; enforce data quality.

Build self‑serve dashboards; reduce cycle time and error rates via automation and training.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (EEE/ECE).

Experience: 8+ years across Component Engineering, PWA

(Printed Wiring Assembly) /PWB (Printed Wiring Board) design, alternate sourcing, and sourcing initiatives.

Program Management: 2+ years managing multiple projects concurrently with defined milestones and outcomes.

PWA/PWB Design: 3+ years of experience in printed wiring assembly/board design.

Component Engineering: 3+ years including obsolescence management, component pricing, and supplier roadmap management.

Leadership: Strong team leadership with proven ability to guide teams through change and deliver measurable results.

Data‑Driven: Uses data, metrics, and structured analysis to inform decisions and measure outcomes.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifies improvement opportunities and applies Lean or structured improvement methodologies.

Ownership & Bias for Action: Takes accountability for outcomes and demonstrates a proactive, results‑oriented approach.
