What is the opportunity?
As Compliance Officer, you will support the RBC Investor Services (RBCIS) Compliance team for Canada. Your responsibilities will include providing compliance support to RBCIS business teams, managing inquiries from regulatory bodies, and supporting the team’s activities under the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program.
What will you do?
Work with the Compliance team in developing and conducting monitoring activities as described in the RCM Framework, applicable Control Standards and other relevant documents
Support the Compliance team’s performance of other RCM functions, and with special initiatives and projects as needed.
Intake, track and, with business team support, process correspondence and inquiries from regulatory bodies
Support the Compliance team’s oversight of RBCIS’ pension contribution monitoring and regulatory reporting
Administer updates to compliance policies, procedures and intranet websites
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
2+ years of relevant experience in compliance and/or audit
Ability to multi-task with exceptional level of accuracy
Strong ethics and values to ensure regulations are met and adherence to RBC standards
Experience and ability to communicate to impact and influence with all levels of management/staff
PC literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with an automation mindset
University degree in business, finance, economics or other related discipline
Nice to have
Previous banking sector experience
Fluency in French
