Job Title: Compensation and Benefits Specialist
Job Description

The Compensation and Benefits Specialist assists Human Resources management in the administration, communication, and analysis of salary programs, incentive programs, and benefit offerings. This role is crucial in the promotion process, annual compensation planning, and the development of bonus and merit plans, salary structure, job descriptions, and performance evaluations. The specialist participates in the development, design, delivery, implementation, and execution of competitive compensation and total rewards.

ResponsibilitiesPerform market pricing, benchmarking, and evaluate data surveys and internal analysis to determine appropriate total reward and compensation components.Prepare and participate in national, regional, and local salary, economic, and employment surveys.Create, review, modify, and audit job descriptions, applying appropriate classification and exemptions per Department of Labor guidelines.Conduct internal equity reviews and advise HR management on compensation actions.Develop partnerships with HR business partners, recruiting, and business leaders to solve compensation-related issues.Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business units on compensation tasks such as job descriptions, job families, career paths, and succession planning initiatives.Assist in developing training programs for educating HR business partners and managers on compensation topics.Review statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommend appropriate actions.Ensure compensation/total rewards programs comply with company policies and government regulations through audits and reports.Support benefits programs, including administrative procedures, 401K funding, employee inquiries, and engagement activities.Essential SkillsExperience in benefits administration, compensation analysis, and human resources.Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Workday.Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of two years direct experience, or five years of direct experience in a compensation and benefits function.Knowledge of salary structures, benchmark data, pay practices, and bonus programs.Experience supporting Open Enrollment for Health Benefits.Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.Good understanding of HR regulations including OFCCP and EEOC.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a cross-cultural, international environment is preferred.CCP or PHR certification is preferred.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based databases.Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work environment with 2 days per week in the office (Wednesday and a flexible day). Work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility on start and stop times as long as the core business hours are covered. The exact schedule will be established upon hire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
