Commute and Transportation Ops Mgmt Director Job ID 225435 Posted 26-Jun-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Facilities Management Location(s) Redmond - Washington - United States of America **About the Role:** The Commute and Transportation Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the Commute & Transportation team & programs for a large campus or portfolio; promotes and encourages the reduction of single occupancy vehicles (SOV) to include public or employee transit, carpool, vanpool, bike, walk, and other transportation options. Provides oversight for the team that establishes operating and administrative policies and procedures for all transportation activities. Responsible for Management of Vendor Partnerships, and Client Relationship Management. The job is part of the Operations Management job function, assisting with the oversight of the department responsible for planning, managing, and directing business operations for a large region or high-profile client. The position is responsible for coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization’s goals and strategies. **What You’ll Do:** + Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. + Drives operational strategy, ensuring efficient and effective operations across integrated regions and lines of business. Acts as key business partner for regional leadership to implement corporate and local initiatives and initiate process improvements. + Directs the business operations activities on a regional basis. Business operations includes finance/accounting operations in partnership with division/corporate finance, local and regional P&L and business procedures oversight, business data capture, and real estate regulatory compliance. Will manage and accomplish work through partnership with the Accounting and Operations Managers. + Manages staff assigned to transportation services, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, cross-training staff to perform other duties as back-up, and evaluating and developing performance; works on transportation demand management policy issues; parking management, coordinates transportation fairs, employee outreach activities, and commute incentives. + Develops short and long-range plans to upgrade technology and maintain state-of-the-art operations. + Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. + Assist with providing efficient and effective strategic operations. This includes revenue growth and profitability, new business development, etc. + Conduct departmental financial evaluations, including monthly revenue and expense projections. + Ensure that all Marketing collateral, press releases, and web publishing are in accordance with company standards. Work with internal marketing and communications teams to ensure effective service delivery, business promotion, advertisement, and public relations. + Oversee the maintenance of listing and transaction files, verifying compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, Real Estate Commission rules, and compliance with corporate policies. + Manage and set priorities for project resources and assess needs. Conduct training needs making sure office standards are met. + Guide the procurement and maintenance of office supplies and equipment. Review vendor service contracts with the internal procurement office. + Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and colleagues to act while guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal. + Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department. + Significantly improves and changes existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. **What You’ll Need:** + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. + Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems. + Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset. + Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $170,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
