Community Early Help Worker

Isle of Wight Family Hubs community early help worker 24hrs per week . Fixed Term until 31st March 2027

A positive strength based approach  Experience of working with parents and young children. Experience of delivering workshops and courses for families Awareness of safeguarding and reporting processes Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The Isle of Wight Early Help Service was established in 2015 to deliver family hub support for children and families aged 0–19. It is funded through a partnership between Children's Services and Public Health, to provide an integrated offer for families. The current contract, awarded in 2021.  IOW Family Centres were also awarded additional government funding from 2022 to deliver to the Family Hub Framework.  Commissioners have now confirmed an extension for one additional year (April 2026– March 2027)

This is an opportunity to work within the community early help team which offers Parenting support including Best Start in Life, Home Learning Environment, Infant Feeding, Parent Infant Relationships, Evidence-based parenting programmes (0-19), Play sessions and community activities.
