Communications & Employee Experience Specialist

The Communications & Employee Experience Specialist supports all communication and employee experience initiatives across Murphy USA and QuickChek. This role is also responsible for the employee onboarding experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, write, edit, design, and distribute communications across company‑wide channels, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with company strategy and culture.
Manage core communication forums and channels, including the weekly newsletter, campus screen content, and other company communication platforms.
Develop communication plans, messaging, and timelines for key initiatives, partnering closely with departments across the business.
Ensure communications reflect consistent brand, tone, and visual identity across all materials.
Build and manage relationships with stakeholders to support communication delivery.
Support companywide employee experience and engagement initiatives.
Own the New Employee Experience and New Employee Orientation (onboarding program), including the annual schedule, coordination with departments, building tours, 30-60-90-day check-ins, and continuous improvement.
Serve on cross‑functional teams to represent Communications & Employee Experience and ensure alignment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 1-3 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPETENCIES / SKILLS REQUIRED
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive employee engagement and communication effectiveness.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with change management and employee experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication platforms.
