Commodity Value Optimization Manager

The Commodity Value Optimization Manager job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage Full Value Optimization responsibilities for all Direct Material Commodity areas within Serial Life
Coordination responsibility for any cost impact as a result of Purchasing Performance or Powertrain specific reduction or over-recovery
Ownership of all supplier value optimization across full NA scope
Close coordination with ongoing Program actions to drive efficiencies and optimization of Serial Life production
Advanced understanding of supplier input into cost reduction activities
Working knowledge of program critical parameters into supplier selection process and management
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field from an AACSB accredited program Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing or a related field Proven ability to build and maintain strong regional and global relationships Must be well organized, self-motivated, capable of managing conflict, and resourceful when managing complex assignments Must be comfortable and excel in a fast-paced environment Results oriented and ability to lead cross-functional and global teams in issue resolution Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically Strong communication skills required; must be comfortable interfacing with all levels of management Customer focus and Strong knowledge of business processes across group purchasing Ability to lead Program BuyersPreferred Qualifications:
