Presbyterian Homes & Services - Optage Meals is seeking a Commissary Kitchen Director to join our team. The Commissary Kitchen Director s responsible for overall operations of the Commissary Kitchen including planning, organizing, developing, evaluating and effectively directing assigned staff and program in order to ensure the production and distribution of highest quality, large-volume customer meals and services consistent with regulations and established best practices in a centralized kitchen environment.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Commissary Kitchen Director reports to the Optage Meals Director. The Commissary Kitchen Director directly supervises Assistant Director, Cooks/Chefs, production team and other designated staff. The Commissary Kitchen Director oversees the use of contracted services for the program.

The Commissary Kitchen Director has responsibility as a member of the Optage Meals leadership team to participate in the planning and implementation of strategies and programming that assure high quality customer meals while achieving short and long-term operational goals and objectives for the site.
This position is a key member of PHS leadership/management team, responsible for acknowledging the Christian purposes of PHS; reinforcing the Christian heritage and establishing a culture of caring consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Qualifications Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, Hospitality, graduate of a dietary manager course with current state certification or equivalent experience.Current Food Safety Certification.Five (5) to Seven (7) years leadership experience in commercial food service.Demonstrated competencies in food service management and operations, computer accounting and inventory management, banquet service, food quality management, expense control, staff development outreach and program development.Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and strong communication and leadership skills to work effectively with customers, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers. Pay Range The estimated starting pay range for this role is $74,200-92,747 per year. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends upon many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
