Key Responsibilities:
Principal Accountabilities
Claims
Apply judgment on claims strategy with partially damaged vehicles in order to determine method of handling each claim Apply pre-plan judgment on quantum vs. agreed value Assess, plan and check quotations at reporting Grant authorisation for windscreen repairs when the Claims Administrator is not available Process windscreen payments when the Claims Administrator is not available Audit
Check/audit the mark-up on spares immediately and ensure accuracy Ensure correct discounts from Agents on parts purchased are given and invoiced accordingly Audit claim files (casting, fairness and accuracy) Liaison
Recommend, resolve and address queries with Panel beaters Attend to all ad hoc tasks when required Key Measures
Feedback from service providers, clients, brokers and staff Accuracy of processing Timely processing Response times within HCV service commitments Cost savings Important Relationships
Constant interaction and team relationship with the Claims Manager and Claims personnel Contact with Service Providers, Brokers and Clients where necessary Problem Solving:
Needs to exercise initiative and judgement based on data and logic, within set parameters and guidelines Daily processing occurs within set procedures Needs to exercise diplomacy when dealing with suppliers and service providers Requirements:
Grade 12 PC Literate (MS Office) Good understanding of commercial vehicle components, original equipment manufacturer vs alternate Interpersonal competencies Communicates clearly and reasons logically (written and verbal) Customer Service Orientation Respects and works well with others Operates as a team player Personal competencies Prioritises, follow-up and orders work in a methodical manner Conscientious -meets deadlines and pays attention to detail to ensure quality Able to motivate ideas and justify work presented Displays integrity and honesty Is meticulous and organised Able to deal with time pressure and maintains a level head Analytical by nature Displays strong mathematical ability with precision and accuracy
