Commercial Operations Supervisor
Job Title: Supervisor, Commercial Operations Job Description Lead a team focused on customer order fulfillment, contract management, and pricing. Act as the key liaison between the company, its customers, and the sales team to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction. Use SAP and analytics tools to streamline processes and support strategic decisions. Responsibilities + Supervise and mentor a team handling orders, contracts, pricing, and invoicing. + Provide coaching and performance feedback. + Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture. + Resolve complex customer issues and support onboarding to strengthen long-term relationships. + Monitor customer satisfaction and drive improvements. + Ensure accurate order processing and contract compliance. + Coordinate with internal teams such as Production, Logistics, and Credit. + Manage hedging and credit limits. + Optimize SAP usage for order and contract management. + Use SAP Analytics and Power BI to track KPIs and support planning. + Maintain data accuracy across systems. + Analyze customer data to identify upsell opportunities. + Engage in proactive selling and provide personalized feedback to refine strategies. + Track customer claims and complaints. + Ensure compliance with pricing and contract terms. + Support audits and maintain documentation standards. Essential Skills + Customer service oriented + Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Data entry skills + Manufacturing experience + Strong internal and external communication skills + Technically savvy and comfortable with ERP systems (SAP) + Ability to facilitate between production, customer service, and commercial operations Additional Skills & Qualifications + Metals industry experience + Exposure to hedging and importing aluminum Work Environment This position requires on-site work four days a week with remote work on Fridays. The team structure includes reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, having three direct subordinates, and working alongside one Director. This role fills the gap between the Director and the team. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rosemont, Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
