You will be a strategic partner to the Operations team, driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure profitability and client satisfaction. A strong understanding of cost-plus models, advanced reporting capabilities, and financial planning systems is essential for success in this role. This role is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations function. **A typical day may involve:** **Financial Planning & Analysis:** + Lead the development and execution of budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes for the assigned account. + Analyze financial performance, identify key drivers, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. + Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and variances. **Cost-Plus Model Expertise:** + Champion and manage the financial aspects of Cost Plus contracts. This includes in-depth understanding of cost-plus pricing, margin analysis, and expense management within the cost-plus framework. + Experience in transitioning accounts from fixed price to a cost-plus model. This includes the ability to navigate the challenges of transitioning, and a strong focus on ensuring accurate cost tracking and billing within the new model. + Ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to cost-plus pricing. **Reporting & Analytics:** + Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. + Utilize and leverage the Vantage reporting platform to generate insightful dashboards and reports. + Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. **Financial Systems & Tools:** + Utilize Adaptive Planning (CBRE's financial planning software) for budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. + Ensure data integrity and system efficiency. **Team Leadership & Management:** + Provide formal supervision to employees. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. + Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. **Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:** + Partner with the Operations team to support initiatives, drive efficiency, and improve financial performance. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial challenges and implement solutions. + Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients. **Process Improvement & Compliance:** + Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance. + Identify and solve complex operational and organizational problems. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. **Requirements:** + Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Significant experience working with cost-plus pricing models, understanding the nuances of cost tracking, margin analysis, and billing within a cost-plus framework. + Proven ability to manage and optimize financial performance within a cost-plus contract. + Experience in transitioning accounts from a fixed price to a cost-plus model is highly preferred. + Proficiency in the Vantage reporting platform is required. + Experience with Adaptive Planning (CBRE's financial planning software) is required. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. + Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems. + Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function. **Analytical & Communication Skills:** + Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset. + Sophisticated math skills.
