As an Associate within the Credit Risk team, you will manage counterparty credit exposures and relationships, ensuring all activities are executed, approved, monitored, and reported in line with our guidelines. You'll engage with clients, stay informed about industry trends, and collaborate with various business units to manage credit exposure and support cross-selling efforts.
Job responsibilities
Assist in the end-to-end execution of transactions, including due diligence, credit analysis, and financial modelingRecommend internal credit ratings based on thorough analysisMonitor the portfolio, prepare regular reviews, update credit lines, and resolve exceptionsSupport local legal entity risk management in compliance with regulationsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with business front linesAnticipate key risks and propose structural solutions to mitigate such risksBecome an Subject Matter Expert (SME) on sectors coveredTake strong ownership of the portfolio and lead trades/transactions and manage end-to-end credit processesFlex communication style to suit senior/junior/internal/external audiencesMentor junior Associates and Analysts in the teamRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related disciplineMinimum of 3 years of experience in risk, credit analysis, or financial modelingStrong quantitative ability in analyzing and interpreting financial statementsCredit-trained with the ability to draw well-thought-out conclusionsProficient in written and verbal communication in Mandarin Chinese, required to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders from ChinaDetail-oriented, deadline-driven, and self-motivatedUnderstanding of financial statements, ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and basic accounting standardsAbility to work proactively and independently, as well as in a team environment
