Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires the ability to diagnose and repair various HVAC equipment, including split systems, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, and pneumatic and electrical control systems.

ResponsibilitiesPerform assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting tasks safely in commercial and industrial settings.Execute preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed.Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.Service, diagnose, and troubleshoot various types of HVAC systems, including split systems, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment.Utilize HVAC skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large-sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device.Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame.Operate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territory.Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.Essential Skills5 or more years of experience repairing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC/R equipment.EPA universal certification.Experience with RTU, air handlers, split systems, chilled water or boiler systems is preferred.Must be able to pass MVR check.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 10 certification preferred.Experience maintaining boilers - 100 ton units.Blueprint reading and pipe fitting skills.Journeyman HVAC certification.Refrigeration license.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with potential for extended hours during busy summer periods. Some weeks may consist of four 10-hour days. The work involves servicing industrial and commercial properties, which may require working in varying climates, including rooftop locations. Carpooling to sites is available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
