General Purpose of Job:
Sell, design, and coordinate commercial projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide design details (including installation lay out and designs) for installation of items ordered by the customerObtain signed contractsOrder equipment and materials necessary to complete the customer’s orderArrange for all permits, sub-contractors, and equipment rentalsProduce project job package for supervisor, installers, and warehouse personnelSchedule project date with customer while communicating with the dispatcherHandle all financial aspects of sales including, down payments, final payments, rebates, incentives, financing, etc.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Offer different options and solutions for customers that best suit their individual needsPrepare commission request sheets and review all jobs sold and billed for profit marginsEnsure a high level of quality controlAssist in the training of new sales personnelParticipate in classes and training opportunities to stay current with new products and trendsObtain customers through referralsContact slow paying customers to collect money due to Newcomb and CompanyProspect for new sales opportunities
Physical Requirements & Job Environment:
All candidates for this position should be reasonably physically fit and capable of picking up an 80 lb. tool, piece of equipment or piece of material and moving it about either on a jobsite, at a vendor, our warehouse, etc. This may include frequent use of limbs and appendages such as climbing, lifting, reaching above
shoulders, balancing, walking, stooping, and kneeling. All Salespersons typically load and unload materials for projects and move these materials into place at the project. This may involve movement carrying a load in tight and difficult situations and on uneven terrain. All candidates may be required to climb and work off ladders and aerial lifts as required to accomplish their work within buildings and on roofs. All candidates will be familiar with the safe operation and capable of using hammer type drills and similar tools. Environmental conditions may range from outdoors at all times of the year to indoors at normal office conditions to indoor utility plants.
Qualifications:
10+ years of HVAC sales replacement experience.Must have a valid drivers license.
