Commercial Growth Process Improvement Leader — Vontier Business Systems (VBS)

About the role

Vontier is seeking an experienced Commercial Growth Process Improvement Leader to drive business growth and operational excellence across the MEA region and into Southeast Asia.

You will report to senior leadership, work closely with regional managers and cross‑functional teams, and be a key driver in embedding a VBS continuous improvement (CI) culture in commercial and service operations.

This is a high‑impact role combining enterprise sales strategy, commercial process redesign and hands‑on Kaizen/Lean facilitation.

Commercial process improvement and operational excellence

Lead, facilitate and coordinate Kaizen initiatives across MEA (with emphasis on convenience retail, commercial & industrial segments including mining and fleet). Drive Lean business process improvements using LEAN tools (Kaizen, Standard Work, Daily Management, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) to simplify end-to-end commercial value chains — from customer acquisition through fulfillment to sustained customer experience. Support policy development and deployment of strategic plans in collaboration with executive leadership. Chair Kaizen planning meetings, maintain improvement funnels aligned to business priorities and drive validation and delivery of solutions from root-cause through implementation.

Stakeholder engagement, coaching and capability building 

Partner with commercial, sales, operational teams, local country teams, regional hubs and global support functions to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. Influence and secure buy-in from senior stakeholders across multiple levels and markets.Build capability through training, coaching, mentoring and certification programs in Lean Six Sigma, and Kaizen methods to embed a process‑focused mindset.

Delivery and commercial impact

Translate improvement activity into measurable commercial value: revenue growth, cost-to-serve reduction, improved fulfillment and enhanced customer experience. Manage multiple concurrent projects autonomously with strong project and time management discipline.

 

What you'll need

Qualifications and experience 

Degree in engineering, business or related field; postgraduate qualification (MBA) preferred. 7–10 years of experience in commercial leadership, continuous improvement (CI), Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen in commercial/sales/operations environments (not manufacturing). Certified in Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies (certification essential). Results driven driving execution with demonstrable track record delivering commercial value through facilitation, change management and process improvement. Strong project management, process mapping and problem-solving skills; able to manage concurrent priorities with minimal supervision. Excellent stakeholder and relationship management, able to engage and influence across multiple regions and cultures; strong written and verbal communicati on.

Location and travel requirements

Successful candidates will be living in and have the right to work in South Africa with the ability to travel in the role (approx. 25%) which could include occasional travel to Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
