Our client, a dedicated provider of essential services, is seeking a Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will be part of the Food Services department supporting the mission to provide nutritious meals to the community. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for culinary arts, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully with the organization.
**Job Title:** Cook
**Location: Orlando, FL**
**Pay Range: $14/hr**
**Shift: 4:30 AM - 7:30 PM (Various Days)**
**What's the Job?**
+ Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring high quality and adherence to nutritional standards.
+ Collaborate with team members and volunteers to efficiently serve meals within established times.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following health and safety standards.
+ Adapt menus and recipes based on community donations and nutritional requirements.
+ Assist with inventory management and ensure proper labeling and storage of food items.
**What's Needed?**
+ Must possess a state-recognized food handling certification (or obtain within 30 days of employment).
+ At least 2 years of relevant cooking and kitchen experience preferred.
+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
+ Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; English proficiency is required for safety standards.
