**Job Title: Commercial Carpenter** **Position Overview** We’re looking for a talented _Commercial Carpenter_ with a strong expertise in metal stud framing and commercial construction. You’ll collaborate closely with a foreman and fellow carpenters on a variety of fit-out and new build projects. **Key Responsibilities** + Interpret and work from blueprints + Perform selective hand demolition + Execute rough and finish wood carpentry, including millwork + Hang drywall and handle taping, spackling, and finishing + Install metal stud framing and acoustical ceiling tiles (ACT) + Fit acoustical ceilings, doors, frames, and related hardware + Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively + Keep the job site clean and well-organized **Core Qualifications** + Proven experience in commercial carpentry + Skilled in metal stud framing and drywall installation + Acoustical ceiling installation expertise **Preferred Skills** + Strong grasp of framing techniques + Comfortable using a wide range of construction tools + Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate on-site **Why Join Us** Become part of a supportive crew of 100+ professionals—superintendents, carpenters, and laborers—who believe in positivity, teamwork, and growing together. **Work Environment & Schedule** Work hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Dress code: High-vis gear, jeans, hard hat, and safety boots Project types: Primarily fit-outs with occasional new construction Team setup: Small groups with 1–2 carpenters and a foreman Culture: Friendly, respectful, and cooperative **Job Details** Type: Contract-to-hire Location: St. Charles, Illinois **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.
