Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Carpenter to join our team, specializing in steel stud framing and commercial carpentry. The role involves working alongside a foreman and other carpenters on various new construction and fit-out projects.
ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints.Perform selective hand demolition.Execute wood (rough) carpentry, millwork, and finish carpentry.Hang drywall and perform taping, spackling, and finishing.Conduct metal stud framing and ACT ceiling installation.Install acoustical ceilings, doors, frames, and hardware.Utilize hand and electric tools efficiently.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.Essential SkillsExperience in commercial carpentry.Proficiency in steel stud framing.Ability to install acoustic ceilings and drywall.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of framing techniques.Familiarity with power and hand tools.Capability to work with a team on construction and fit-out projects.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work hours are typically from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. The dress code requires high-visibility clothing, jeans, a hard hat, and safety boots. Projects are primarily fit-outs with new construction opportunities, involving work with 1-2 other carpenters and a foreman. The team maintains a friendly and cooperative atmosphere.

This is a Contract position based out of St. Charles, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.
