Combi Lift Operator
Job Title: Combi Lift OperatorJob Description

As a Combi Lift Operator, you will be actively engaged in operating a unique side-loading forklift known as the Combilift 12K Lb Forklift throughout your entire shift. This role involves working in a dynamic environment with tasks that include offloading flatbed trucks and rail cars. The Combi lift is equipped with heaters and air conditioning for comfort.

ResponsibilitiesOperate the Combilift 12K Lb Forklift to offload flatbed trucks and rail cars.Utilize computer terminals inside the Combi lift for order picking.Scan barcodes on wood products, apply new labels, and assign products to bin areas from the Combi lift.Perform manual labor tasks such as picking and unloading for 55-60% of the workday.Essential SkillsMaterial handling and inventory management experience.Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts or Combi lifts with at least one year of experience.Order selecting experience using a scan gun for at least two years or comfort with computer systems.Strong computer skills for operating order pick systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with wood products or a construction background is preferred.Comfortable working in outdoor environments, including rainy conditions.Experience with RF scanning or SAP and willingness to learn forklift operation.High school diploma or GED required.Experience with SAP or Warehouse Management System.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily outdoors in a lumber yard, which includes both an open-air facility and yard where products are stored indoors and outdoors. Be prepared to work in rainy conditions and perform manual labor tasks. The team currently consists of six warehouse associates, with plans to expand by two more. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
