Job Title: Collections Specialist

Job Description

As a Collections Specialist, you will communicate with consumers via phone and approved written correspondence to resolve unpaid accounts. You will provide thorough, efficient, and accurate updates to account files for each interaction while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the collections industry. The role requires demonstrating strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment and performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment

You will be working 5 days in the office with hours from 8am-5pm Monday through Thursday and 8am-4pm on Friday. You will be part of a team of 13 collection specialists and 1 manager. The company offers a flexible and comfortable environment, providing room for growth and training. You will not be micromanaged but instead given trust and the opportunity to be independent. The company has a strong family-type atmosphere with many employees having been with the company for over 20 years. They host fun events such as holiday parties, lunches, celebrations, potlucks, crab feasts, donation drives, food drives, and volunteering opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
