Collections Specialist
Job Title: Collections SpecialistJob Description

As a Collections Specialist, you will communicate with consumers via phone and approved written correspondence to resolve unpaid accounts. You will provide thorough, efficient, and accurate updates to account files for each interaction, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the collections industry. This role requires demonstrating strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment and performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Essential SkillsProficiency in customer service and call center operations.Ability to handle numerous inbound calls and speak comfortably on the phone.Experience in collections and collections customer service.Strong typing skills with the ability to type and speak simultaneously.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Strong attention to confidentiality and data protection.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work effectively in a multi-tasked, team-oriented environment.Strong organizational and prioritization skills.Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.Bilingual candidates preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position requiring in-office work five days a week. The hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am to 4pm on Friday. You will work as part of a team of 13 collection specialists and one manager. The work environment is described as flexible and comfortable, with a strong family-type atmosphere. There are opportunities for growth and independence, along with a variety of fun events such as holiday parties, lunches, celebrations, potlucks, and more. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
