Collections Specialist

As a Collections Specialist, you will coordinate invoice collection and resolve problems with accounts. You will work independently across various locations to ensure customers adhere to terms and expectations, achieve targeted collection goals, and review delinquent account status. The role requires initiating collection actions based on due dates and dollar values, analyzing customer pay practices, and recommending actions on delinquent accounts. Your efforts will improve receivable turnover through efficient collections and customer follow-up. You will also coordinate collection efforts with branches and sales representatives and discuss financial developments discovered during routine collections.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate invoice collection and resolve problems with accounts.Work independently with various locations to maintain customer terms and expectations.Achieve targeted collection goals and objectives.Review status of delinquent accounts and initiate collection actions.Analyze customer pay practices and recommend actions on delinquent accounts.Improve receivable turnover through efficient collection efforts.Coordinate collection efforts with branches and sales representatives.Maintain favorable customer relations and provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.Essential SkillsExperience in accounts receivable and collections.1 to 2 years of prior collection and customer service experience.Basic understanding of finance policies.Strong analytical abilities and high attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software.Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Bi-lingual in Spanish/English preferred.Previous experience in the construction industry.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
