Collections Specialist

Job Description:
Join our dynamic team as a Collections Specialist where you will initially focus on outreach for accounts that are 90+ days past due. You'll use pre-made templates to communicate with customers, attaching invoices and sending them out. As you grow into the role, you will transition into a more comprehensive collections position, emphasizing relationship management within the manufacturing and service sectors. This role involves a balance of communication via phone and email, utilizing customer portals, and navigating SAP systems.
Responsibilities:
+ Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring high performance through effective invoice aging, customer interactions, and credit holds.
+ Expedite the resolution of unpaid accounts to minimize receivables while maintaining positive customer relationships.
+ Coordinate resolution of customer disputes with internal departments and customer contacts.
+ Analyze customer account history and work directly with customers to address invoicing issues.
+ Collaborate with various internal teams to resolve customer issues and focus on root causes.
+ Contact customers when new orders go on hold to resolve disputes and expedite payments.
+ Participate in the credit approval process as needed.
+ Respond promptly to customer requests via phone and email, including processing credit card payments and requesting customer master updates.
+ Identify and escalate accounts requiring demand letters or third-party collection agency handling.
Qualifications:
+ Experience in collections or strong customer service background .
+ Familiarity with aging reports, accounts receivable, and invoicing.
+ Ability to handle high volumes of transactions and workload.
+ Comfortable with weekly and monthly performance metrics.
+ Ability to multi-task effectively.
+ Experience in the manufacturing and/or service industry is preferred.
+ Knowledge of SAP is a plus, though not required.
+ No specific education required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
