Job Description
The Collections and Resolution Specialist is responsible for actively collecting open accounts receivable balances by engaging with customers and supporting branch personnel in collection activities. The role involves updating the AR collection system with relevant customer information, responding to customer inquiries, and reconciling accounts while performing administrative tasks.
ResponsibilitiesActively collect open accounts receivable balances by contacting customers and supporting branch personnel.Update the Get Paid AR collection system with customer contact information, notes on account statuses, payment promises, and customer disputes.Respond to customer inquiries and direct issues to appropriate personnel for resolution.Reconcile accounts and perform additional administrative duties as assigned.Place calls to and receive calls from past due commercial account holders to discuss payment arrangements according to established guidelines.Establish acceptable payment arrangements, including settlements, while building positive relationships with customers.Counsel customers to assist in finding funds to bring accounts current.Generate and respond to written correspondence in a professional, compliant manner.Maintain accurate documentation of conversations and arrangements reached with customers.Manage collection objectives using professionalism and persuasiveness.Recommend next steps for accounts that become unperforming or unresponsive.Complete skip tracing when contact with customers ceases.Collaborate with salespeople, branch personnel, and other team members to resolve account issues.Work on unapplied cash in search of payments.Essential SkillsExperience in accounts receivable and collections.Proficiency with Salesforce.Strong resolution and research skills.High volume collections experience.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Additional Skills & QualificationsCollege coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business Information Systems preferred.Salesforce experience preferred.Experience in construction or manufacturing preferred.Work Environment
The role is based in an office environment located in Fells Point, working as part of a team reporting to the AR/Collections manager. The standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
