**Job Title: Coil Technician** **Job Description** The Coil Technician is a mechanical builder or assembler responsible for creating custom coils used in the heat treating and induction industry. These coils are large metal tubes designed to form custom heating ranges, similar to giant oven ranges, and are used to heat metals, steel, graphite, and more. This role involves hands-on fabrication and assembly work, using tools such as tape measurers, saws, torches, and other hand and power tools to accurately build and assemble these custom coils. **Responsibilities** + Measure and follow dimensions using a tape measurer, with precision down to 1/64 inch. + Cut metal using hand or band saws. + Utilize torches, braze, grind, and employ hand tools to build and assemble custom coils. + Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate coils as per specifications. + Spend the majority of the day engaged in hands-on fabrication and assembly based on blueprint designs. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in brazing, torching, and metal fabrication. + Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools akin to a mechanic or construction worker. + Capability to measure accurately with a tape measurer to 1/64 of an inch. + Ability to interpret dimensions and visualize products from 3D blueprint images. + Experience in reading and building from blueprints, with a focus on hands-on fabrication. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a pleasant work environment with opportunities for long-term tenure and the potential for pay increases over time. Employees receive two 10-minute paid breaks during a standard 8-hour shift, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, or three 10-minute paid breaks with overtime. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and work boots. The facility is clean, climate-controlled, and designed to support productivity and comfort.
