Job Summary

Manpower is recruiting for a building Maintenance Worker performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of public housing units and related facilities. This position ensures housing properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents by responding to work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting emergency repairs as needed. Pay is $25.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant housing units, including:

Plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and basic electrical work

Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently

Prepare vacant units for new occupancy, including repairs, cleaning coordination, and inspections

Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively

Identify maintenance issues requiring specialized contractors and report findings to supervisors

Follow all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and housing standards

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent

Interact professionally and respectfully with residents, staff, and the public

Perform related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications One (3) year or more of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related trade preferred Working knowledge of general maintenance practices and repair techniques

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting,  bending, and standing for extended periods
