 SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Technician to join our team. As a CNC Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. You will work with a variety of materials and use different tools to create complex shapes and designs. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of CNC machinery, strong technical skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the machining operations requiredSet up and prepare CNC machines, including loading and securing materials, tools, fixtures and update tool data tablesProgram, edit, and optimize CNC machine code using CAM software and or manual programmingMonitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments as neededConduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to ensure optimal performanceSelect and install appropriate cutting tools, drills, and fixtures for each jobPerform precision machining operations such as, but not limited to turning, milling, drilling and tappingInspect finished products for quality and accuracy, using precision measuring tools and gaugesMake necessary adjustments to maintain product conformance and meet tight tolerancesCollaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and improve machining processesAdhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

 EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or related field is preferredProven experience as a CNC Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of CNC machinery and programmingExperience with different CNC controller manufacturers such as Mazak, Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, etc.Proficient in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specificationsExtensive knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam)Familiarity with various CNC machines (mills, lathes, turning centers, etc.) and their operationsAbility to operate precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensionsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent manual dexterity and physical staminaAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentKnowledge of safety protocols and ability to adhere to them at all times
