CNC Swiss Machinist
**Job Title: CNC Swiss Machinist** Job Description The purpose of this role is to set up and operate Swiss Style CNC machines efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities + Set up and operate Swiss style CNC machines, including inserting and positioning tools, adjusting tool offsets, and replacing inserts and tools. + Prepare bars and bar ends, and load bars into the machine loader. + Read and interpret blueprints, including understanding dimensional size, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing. + Complete all necessary paperwork for the manufacturing process. + Inspect products according to drawings and standards. + Properly use and maintain various types of inspection gauges, fixtures, and equipment. + Perform secondary operations such as part cleaning and deburring. + Move finished products to designated areas. + Manage time effectively to maximize production output. + Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized work area. + Perform related duties as assigned and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. Essential Skills + Experience with CNC setup and operation. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Skill in using precision measuring tools. + Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Experience with Swiss Screw Machines. + Programming or program editing on CNC machines. + Business-minded with the ability to contribute to departmental growth and efficiency. Work Environment The work environment is clean, climate-controlled, and includes a toolroom with manual machines, wire EDM machines, and various tools. The shop focuses on metal stamping, and while noise levels can be high due to stamping presses, safety standards are maintained with a dress code that includes clean jeans or work pants, composite safety shoes, safety glasses, and ear protection. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
