The Machining Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the defined internal production team.  Responsible for meeting internal production KPI’s through standard work and continuous improvement efforts.  The scope includes allocation of work to machines, managing priorities, and managing personnel.

Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop and motivate team members to achieve desired efficiency, proficiency, and cooperation in creating positive morale.Review and analyze potential scheduling issues and devise/implement procedures to minimize lost time incidents.Review operational schedules, coordinate with production, and manage team members assignments.Direct cross functional HPT to resolve potential machine or process issues.Responsible for execution of standard work on the team.Create and support an environment to encourage open communications and cooperation at all levels of the organization.Promote and build a safety-first cultureOther duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious Leadership experienceStrong interpersonal skills needed to lead cross functional teamStrong decision - making skills for making timely and informed decisionsERP software experienceExcellent emotional and time management skillsAnalytical skills for evaluating data to ensure the best processesUnderstand operational KPI’s and what drives improvementsExperience and Fluent with Microsoft officeAssociates degree or 5 years of relevant work experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipmentMust be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper formatJob Summary

Relevant Skills (not required):

Machines- Tornos, Tsugami, & Citizens

Setup and operation of CNC swiss lathes and bar feeder operations

Visual inspection of parts using microscopes and vision system

Dimensional inspection of parts using Mahr gauges, micrometers and calipers

Changing tool offsets on CNC Fanuc controllers to maintain compliant products.

1st shift: 6:30am - 2:30pm
