We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, primarily utilizing Mazak, Haas, or similar CNC equipment. You will ensure proper alignment and setup of raw materials and fixtures, read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings, and perform in‑process inspections using precision measuring tools.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes and mills using Mazak, Haas, or similar equipment.Load raw materials and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and setup.Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions.Perform in‑process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.Monitor machine performance and make minor offsets or adjustments as needed.Perform basic troubleshooting of tooling, fixtures, and part defects.Maintain quality standards to meet tight tolerance requirements.Change tooling and inserts according to job specifications.Document production counts, scrap, and quality checks.Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.Collaborate with programmers, lead operators, and quality personnel to improve processes.Essential Skills3 years of experience operating CNC Machines.Ability to stand for 8 hours a day.Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.Familiarity with reading blueprints and using measuring instruments.Experience in operating multiple machines when needed.Compliance with all safety and work rules and practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in both setup and programming.Experience working with Mazak Mills or similar equipment, as well as Okuma Mills.Why Work Here?Join a company with a strong history, having been in business since 1953 without any layoffs.
