Responsibilities
Read job orders to determine machine programming requirements.Set up machine parameters and power settings.Call up part numbers from the computer to program machines.Insert steel into machines to cut parts.Check parts against prints using various measuring devices to ensure accuracy.Perform part verifications.Conduct routine machine maintenance.Perform simple laser programming.Troubleshoot and adjust machines to resolve any issues.Assist the Steel Shed Coordinator with unloading, receiving materials, and ordering.Instruct laser take-off operators.Assist with scheduling of nests.Schedule machine maintenance with the Maintenance Department.Cross-train Laser take-off and Laser Operator II employees as assigned by Supervisor.Essential Skills
Mechanical inclination and ability to read prints and measure accurately.Experience with CNC machinery.Ability to operate laser and turret machines, or focus on one.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
