Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist
Job Description
This position requires the setup and operation of CNC Mills and Lathes, specifically focusing on Haas machines. The role involves performing multiple setups per day for short production runs, typically one-off or up to 10 parts.
Responsibilities
Perform 1–5 full machine setups per day on CNC Haas mills and lathes.Run short production runs, generally 1–10 parts, and verify CNC programs.Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding for each job.Adjust offsets, feeds, and speeds to ensure optimal machining performance.Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues during runs.Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using standard metrology tools.Document inspection results and identify any nonconformances.Essential Skills
Experience with CNC setup for Mills or Lathes, performing up to 5 setups daily.Ability to select appropriate cutting tools, install tools, and set up workholding equipment.Proficiency in CNC operating for both Mills and Lathes with short runs up to 10 parts.Blueprint reading and quality inspection skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Clemens, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
