Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Setup Machinist to set up and operate CNC turning centers, specifically DMG MORI or Hitachi Seiki machines. The role involves modifying existing programs using G code or DMG MORI programming software, inspecting tools and parts to ensure precision, and maintaining accurate measuring equipment standards.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate DMG MORI or Hitachi Seiki CNC turning centers.Modify existing programs at the machine using G code or DMG MORI programming software.Inspect tools and parts regularly to produce precision parts.Communicate any delays, issues, or concerns to management.Ensure measuring equipment is accurate by using standards in the inspection room.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Previous experience in CNC turning.Proficient in CNC programming and machining.Skillful at producing quality parts with tight tolerances.Excellent blueprint reading and understanding skills.Proficient in reading and modifying CNC programs.Ability to solve problems using critical thinking skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
CNC machining center experience is a plus.Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.Work Environment
This position is based in a machine shop with a first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, although the CNC crew typically starts at 6:00 AM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83200.00/yr.
