Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Setup Machinist to join our dynamic team. This role involves setting up and operating DMG MORI or Hitachi Seiki CNC turning centers, occasionally modifying existing programs using G code or DMG MORI programming software, and inspecting tools and parts to produce precision components. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your measuring equipment by using the standard in the inspection room and communicating any delays, issues, or concerns to management.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate DMG MORI or Hitachi Seiki CNC turning centers.Modify existing programs at the machine using G code or DMG MORI programming software.Inspect tools and parts regularly to ensure precision production.Communicate any delays, issues, or concerns to management.Ensure measuring equipment accuracy by using inspection room standards.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsPrevious experience in CNC turning.Skillful at producing quality parts with tight tolerances.Excellent at reading and understanding blueprints.Proficient in reading and modifying CNC programs.Ability to solve problems using critical thinking skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Work collaboratively in a team setting.Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsCNC machining center experience is a plus.Proficiency in CNC programming and machining.Tool and die expertise.Work Environment
The role is based in a machine shop environment with a first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The CNC crew typically starts at 6:00 AM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83200.00/yr.
