**Job Title: Set-Up and Operator** Job Description The Set-Up and Operator is responsible for preparing, configuring, and operating machinery to produce precision parts and components. This role ensures machines are properly calibrated, tools are correctly installed, and production runs meet quality and safety standards. Responsibilities + Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes according to job specifications. + Review blueprints, job orders, and raw materials for accuracy and quality. + Determine appropriate fixtures, attachments, and tooling for each job. + Monitor cutting processes and make real-time adjustments to ensure precision. + Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. + Maintain quality standards and document production results. + Conduct daily machine maintenance and report any issues. + Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and reduce errors. Essential Skills + Proficiency in CNC programming and operation. + Experience with press brake and fabrication. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Familiarity with AutoCAD. + Understanding of sheet metal operations and machining. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in setting up and operating CNC equipment. + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled. The position operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:45 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
