CNC Programmer Machinist
Job Title: CNC Programmer Machinist
Job Description

The purpose of this position is to train a CNC operator to become a proficient CNC Programmer, capable of programming in CNC software.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret drawings to write basic programs using CAD/CAM technologies for CNC machines, calculating cutting speeds and feeds to generate quality parts in accordance with production standards.Monitor and verify the accuracy of each new job’s initial set-up and final outcome.Assist in solving complex CNC operating problems.Communicate with supervisors to resolve machining or quality issues.Troubleshoot out-of-tolerance parts to help determine the correct manufacturing process.Train new employees on set-up and procedures.Assist in operating machines when others are unavailable.Perform ancillary duties during the shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3-5 years’ experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.Basic knowledge of CNC Programming.Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including calibers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and tape measures.Advanced ability to read drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used on machines.Understanding of how CNC machines operate.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Experience with HAAS, CNC, G Code, Mills, and hand tools.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Enjoy a very clean work environment with a close-knit team of three machinists, with this role being the fourth member. The facility provides air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter, maintaining a tidy and organized workspace. Our company specializes in load cell manufacturing and custom sensors for industrial applications such as oil & gas, aviation, and industrial automation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worthington, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $29.00/hr.
