CNC Programmer – Mastercam (3-, 4-, and 5-Axis Mills)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with strong Mastercam expertise to create efficient, high‑quality CNC programs for 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis milling machines. This role involves developing machining strategies, writing CNC programs, creating setup documentation, and ensuring that parts are produced to customer specifications using modern machining techniques and tooling best practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesCreate CNC mill programs using Mastercam for 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis milling centers.Develop detailed production setup documents to support machining operations.Establish effective tool strategies, including optimal tool selection, speeds, and feeds.Interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to develop precise and efficient CNC programs.Apply modern machining methodology, including advanced cutter paths, work holding solutions, and optimized cutting parameters.Ensure programs meet production efficiency, part quality, and customer specification requirements.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam (required).Vericut experience strongly preferred.Experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills (lathe programming experience preferred).Ability to create part geometry and fully develop CNC programs within Mastercam.Proficient understanding of G‑code and M‑code.Strong teamwork, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.Work EnvironmentLocated in Wichita, KS.1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday.Professional machining and manufacturing environment.Collaboration with engineering, tooling, and machining personnel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
