We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop CNC machine programs, fixtures, and tooling solutions for our plant floor. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production management personnel and fellow CNC programmers to address production needs and projects effectively.
ResponsibilitiesProgram multiple CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications.Read and interpret blueprints and design models.Specify the machining process and select appropriate cutting tools for each job.Design and/or build setups and fixturing for parts.Create comprehensive documentation for machine operators to follow.Prove out current and new programs directly at the machine.Inspect parts visually and mechanically to ensure conformance to print and process dimensions.Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.Conduct quality control tests on parts.Assist in training staff on machine operation procedures.Maintain documentation, programming file revision levels, and back up files.Essential SkillsProficient in CNC programming.Deep understanding of G & M codes.Experience with MasterCAM and SolidEdge.Proficiency with Macro-B Operations and NCSIMUL.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Two-year Machining Technology degree preferred.Experience with horizontal mill setup, preferably with FANUC Controls.Experience with horizontal machining with live tooling.Working knowledge of CAD/CAM and Simulation software such as Solid Edge, MasterCAM, and NCSimul.Understanding of speeds, feeds, and tooling.Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lifting devices.Proficiency in machine shop math.Good communication skills and attention to detail.Experience with MS Office programs.Strong skills working with PC file systems.Work EnvironmentOur work environment offers flexible schedule options including a day shift with a 4x10 schedule from Monday to Thursday or a 5x8 schedule from Monday to Friday. The facility is equipped with the latest technologies and tools to support efficient production operations.
