Description

Urgent role creating and optimizing CNC programs in Siemens NX for complex aerospace components.

Requires proven experience programming 4‑axis and 5‑axis machines, including setup, simulation, and prove‑out.

Must read/interpret aerospace drawings, tolerances, and understand how plating, surface treatments, and heat‑treat affect machining strategy.

Works closely with process engineering to finalize tooling, fixtures, sequencing, and cycle‑time improvements.

Ideal background includes aerospace machining in job‑shop environments with high mix/low volume precision parts.

Onsite in Westfield, 45+ hours/week with overtime as needed to support backlog.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\tHigh school diploma or GED required.

•\tAssociate degree or higher in related field preferred

•\tExperience with CNC Mill multi-axis programming.

•\tCAD/CAM experience NX preferred.

•\tProcessing Engineer experience preferred.

•\tProficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

•\tUnderstanding of CNC machining techniques, and materials.

•\tAbility to interpret blueprints and knowledge of GD&T

•\tAbility to choose and/or design correct tooling, and apply speeds and feeds based on process and materials.

•\tWorking knowledge in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry to include Aerospace standards and specifications.

•\tWorking knowledge of manufacturing outsource processes i.e. Plating, Surface treatments and Heat Treat.

•\tAdvance Analytical skills to gather, process and interpret data to solve problems and make decisions.

•\tAbility to effectively communicate both written and verbally.

•\tStrong attention to details

•\tTime Management and Organizational skills.

•\tExcellent Interpersonal and customer service skills.

•\tMust be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

•\tAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
