**Job Title: CNC Programmer**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for the 1st shift, Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime. This role involves using inspection tools to troubleshoot machining issues, identifying tooling and machines for programming steps, and independently writing programs for milling and turning machines. The position requires utilizing CAD/CAM software to draw and modify prints and 3-D models, as well as using simulation to verify programs and macros.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot machining issues using inspection tools.
+ Identify tooling and machines for all programming steps of precision machined components.
+ Independently write programs for milling and turning machines.
+ Use simulation to verify programs and macros.
+ Draw and modify prints and 3-D models using CAD/CAM software.
+ Understand and utilize simple statistical charts like X-bar.
+ Develop reports and transform data using Excel, including advanced features like VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
+ Assist with process improvement tools, such as DOE.
+ Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1 or more years of experience as a CNC programmer.
+ Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNC programming software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM).
+ Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in CNC machining, such as G-code and conversational programming.
+ Demonstrated ability to setup and troubleshoot all types of CNC machines.
+ Understanding of machining principles, cutting tool selection, and machining parameters.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
+ Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience as a CNC machinist with manual machining experience.
+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
+ Ability to meet quality and productivity standards.

**Work Environment**
This position operates in a professional office environment and occasionally exposes employees to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level can range from quiet to moderate to loud. Standard office equipment is routinely used.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincolnshire, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
