CNC Programmer 2
A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a CNC Programmer 2 at MKS, you will partner with the Machine Shop to program and set-up CNC equipment to fabricate a variety of precision parts. In this role, you will report to the Senior Supervisor of Manufacturing Operations. You Will Make an Impact By:• Responsible for programming and setting-up CNC equipment to fabricate a variety of precision parts• This includes the programming of new products as well as updating existing programs• Will ensure correct machine operations and will make program adjustments as required• Collaborating with machinists to resolve machining challenges and improve processes• Performing quality checks to verify part accuracy and adherence to specifications• Maintaining equipment, tooling, and documentation to support efficient machining operations Skills you bring:• 3-5+ years of related experience required• Requires machine shop experience, comprehensive knowledge and understanding of higher mathematics involved in the application of engineering principles and the performance of related operations, and completion of a formal apprenticeship program• MasterCAM, and Solidworks experienced• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T• Strong troubleshooting skills for machining and program‑related issues • Able to work in a positive, collaborative environment with changing priorities Preferred Skills:• Experience with 2 and 3 axis lathe parts, 3-5 axis milling parts Physical Demands and Working Conditions:• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time• Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level• Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level• Must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly• Must be able to exchange accurate information• Operates in an office, and manufacturing environment• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery• Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)• Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat• Noise level in the work environment is usually average Compensation and Benefits: Pay Range: $30-45 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
